The museum that inspired Mane to create his widely known painting was artist Berthe Morisot. They met in 1868 and in the fall, Berta begins to pose for the artist for the image. The society accepted the finished picture well and in the spring of 1869 it was put up for sale in one of the local salons. For a long time, the painting belonged to one French painter, and after his death, it became the property of the state. Today, this canvas is in the Musee d'Orsay. The picture captures the actions that took place on one of the balconies. It is made in green colors and is surrounded by a dense lattice. Among the people on the balcony are two women. The right woman is violinist Fanny Klaus, she stands near the door and looks at the viewer.

The left one is the artist Berthe Morisot, she sits on a small ottoman and looks over the fence of the balcony, and near her legs a small white-brown dog is depicted. Both women are depicted in snow-white dresses that contrast markedly with the rest of the environment. Behind them is a standing man, this is Antoine Guillaume, a famous artist. Behind its silhouette in the thick darkness of the room you can hardly see the stepson of the artist - Leon Leenhoff. The inspiration for the creation of this canvas was one of the creations of Mane’s beloved creator, Francisco Goi, “Machi on the Balcony”. The plot and composition of the image are connected with it. Before creating his famous painting, Manet managed to create a separate portrait of violinist Mademoiselle Klaus on the same green balcony as part of the training. In the picture, she is depicted sitting on the same stool as Bert.
